To dark to the left. Nothing there so cut the picutre before the table. Then this kind of photos can look better and more intresting in black & white. Try it out.

(Fredric, )I'm not sure if it works. I intend to preserve the diagonal with the long light as well as the warm tone of the floor vs the less warm of the sofa and the up right reflection. OTOH, I have no particular case against empty space.
