Though this is a nice closeup shot I would first make it lighter. Its to dark. Also next time try to have "catch light" in the eyes.Hope you don't mind, I attached my version. Its just my opinion.

I have to apologize. I first viewed this picture on my computer in my office and it looked very dark, hence my comments and example. I am know looking at it on my home computer, which I use for my digital photography, and the photo is fine. Sorry.
