About Taken on the Northshore of Oahu. They were filming Baywatch Hawaii to the right when the sun was setting and colors were going off. I tried for a while to find any composition that could work. Your comments and opinions are always appreciated!

The pink filter makes this shot happen for me. The other thing I like are the palm trees with the sun going down right between them. The clouds are really spectacular and work nicely with the water. To me the clouds look like waves in the sky. The only minor downside that I see here are the shrubs or grass between the two palm trees. They seem to take away a little from your composition as they obscure the water and are a bit too close to the setting sun. But I'm sure that getting rid of them would be hard, either physically or digitally. Anyway, this is still a wonderful image. Very well done!

Excellent composition with the palm trees framing, Vincent. the filtering was perfect for beaultiful colors, although maybe the contrast on the clouds could be a bit higher to improve texture. Nevertheless a wonderful scene! congrats ..... Lucas

Vincent, what a great....oooppps.
Thank you so much for your comment and all the work on my End photo. I really appreciated it. This is an encouragement and I feel grateful for your compliments as well.
Regarding this picture, I've noticed that it is from 2001. Ageless. All the strong elements are there to support it. Right the choice of the palm trees framing the ocean. Right the amount of color in the sky.Right the sky in itself. Not just another sunset:) Marilia

I feel like a bit of a stickler when I say this, but compositionally, I'd prefer to see the entire tree on the left hand side. Other than that, I can't find anything wrong with it. The inclusion of the grass/shrubs at the bottom works well in terms of framing and contrast. And the sun is perfectly exposed - a perfect round circle in the distance . . . . how do you DO that?!?!

Great work . . . and thanks for fighting the good fight over the past few months.
