Ken,

There is little to say about this photograph - the comp, tone, and light all suit the subject very well. I like it very much - is there anything else to say?

Beautiful light, wonderful balance. In the game of choosing what to include and what to exclude, I think you won, Ken. There's just enough "other" stuff in this to give it balance and life -- but of course it's that beautiful leaf's show.
Nicely done.

zosia zija   {K:12006} 7/3/2003

I think this is wonderful for what is not there, as much as what is. What you've chosen to feature, how you've cropped this, the subtle tones, the crispness in the dead part of the leaf, the areas of light, the blackest blacks -- all combine to say a lot without saying much.
