About This day Lily growing out of a bed of Ferns looked very interesting to the eye, but the actual photo was much too busy, so I thought I would experiment with PhotoShop pkastic wrap. What do you think?

Think that it's nice, background had become flat and it's not so busy now! I like very much, that blossom had stayed original! About shot- Perfect clarity and lighting, Jim! Excellent image ! Regards, ALexey. Jim! Can you make some drop shadows from blossom, It seems to me It would make some 3-d effect. blossom can jump out from plastic.

Hey Jim, this is weird, but it has an interesting perspective! It's good to do something different/abstract now and again, although I generally prefer realistic stuff! Looks like the lily is on melted plastic butcher's grass hehe. I agree with Alexey, some shadows would improve it heaps. Keep up the good work! Cheers, Alice. )

Something similar, but much more accurate...

Alexey, thank you for the drop shaddow hint. I have never tried that, and dont know for sure how to accomplish it, but it is worth experimenting. Your work with PhotoShop is great, and I apperciate your help and comments...Thanks, Jim!

Hi Jim - an interesting look - agree with Alexey that it might be more interesting with a drop shadow! Regards!

Very interesting work. Abou my photo Urca: For Jim Forbes. I allways whished to upload the photo at full pixel (640). But the Usefilm site didn't accept it.

Jim, it looks better than the thumbnail but I think it's best to save the plastic wrap for food in the refrigerator. I makes the flower look artificial. I note you put in the abstract category. Perhaps if it was made more abstract. Rates high in originality!
Thanks for your comments on my Jenny Lake. I will try sending in at 640x640. I have reduced my upload size because I get the too large comment. Lately usefilm has not been working correctly on my Mac. Al is trying to fix it.

Interesting result from this 'glass effect'. It gives a nice texture effect. Also the sunlight makes greater result with this effect.

It appears that the Plastic Wrap has a balancing effect on the photo. it allows the tiger lily to stand alone.I think it is because it tends to make the background lose detail which is the same effect as minimum DOF. jimc
