About Macro photo of an immature sunflower bud put through selective PS manipulations including gaussian blur, sharpening tool, desaturation, colorization and liquify. Comments on style, technique and the feel of this image are especially welcome. But remember, the plants ARE watching...

Jim,

This was clearly an excellent macro to begin with and you took it up another notch with your PS work. For some reason, the image reminds me of "Little Shop of Horrors."

It isn't just an eye that is watching us it is a eye of flame - hmmmm - that strikes a familiar chord.

I very much like the detail and light on the hairs that are across the entire bud.

Mary

Wow - look at that detail. Wonderful texture and detail, Jim. Superb use of PS. Hopefully one day I will be as proficient as you in PS. I would love to be able to create some of the masterpieces you have. Incredible work. Well done.

This shot is nice to look with its beautiful blue subtle colors (colors here create a nice feeling). Great work and very good imagination.
