About The Zebras had gathered in a tight knot around a hay bale. Used the threshold filter to create an ultra high contrast image -- something I enjoyed doing with Kodalith film back in the Triassic era. The background was done with Paint Alchemy -- a third-party filter I bought in 1993. It still works in PS 6, altough sadly, not in PS7. PA allows the creation and control of very intricate brush strokes that can be applied to a PS selection. It's still miles ahead of PS's own brush controls.

Jim,

Very clever title...fun execution...I am guessing the only way to create some of your images is loads, and loads of time - you must have a million times more patience than I do!!

This goes to my favourites for sure...
I saw it this morning in B&W, but the blue is really exactly one of my most favourite colors and I love zebras, because they have such an incredibly beautiful pattern.
Jim, you are amazing....
:-)

I have a spare room that has various African pieces in it. I'd definitely hang something like this in it! Very cool stripes, movement and contrast.
