About Duotone in blue done by desaturating two layer copies of a color image, colorizing with hue and saturation adjusments to get two shades of blue -- one layer blue-green, the other layer cobalt blue -- and, finally, using the overlay blend to combine the cobalt shadows with the blue-green mid tones. It sounds complicated, but it only takes a few minutes. Comments appreciate.

PS process is very good.. She looks like very angry, like she is going to beat someone :) Nice shot..

Regards, Murat.

it is a good smile to look at this one - she looks quite pugnacious...I have minor nit and that is her face almost blends in with the background and I know of two reasons for that - first you are shooting from behind and second is the light - which was intentional (and necessary for the shadow)...

It is a great idea, well carried out. I'm of the opinion that a plain B&W treatment would be more effective. But that's just my preference, it's a very nice photo!

Jim, I admire your sharing spirit of writing with detail how your images come to be. (not that I come out the other end any wiser)
Compositionally, you must have caught this girl in a moment of rage? She looks ready to box somebody.
Fun to visit you.

A wonderful action capture, your technique is very intriguing and makes for an excellent image! Cheers!

"these thongs were made for walkin'" !
Jim, a very cool capture of movement. Love the shadow.
Reminds me I am always fascinated with the gait of the walkers in the Olympics. It makes me smile to watch them, even though I know they are SO SO serious.

A great catch, the shadow is fantastic, very well presented - Richard.

Audrey, Richard GC, etc. Whoops, I should have specified that this was posed.

I saw an empty stucco wall lit up like a drive-in threater screen in the late afternoon New Mexico sunlight. I asked my daugher, then 9, for a few shadow improvs. She went through the usual attempts to catch her shadow, after repeated failures, she stalked away in mock anger, which is when this was taken.

I really do like your style, Jim. This is an excellent image once again.
