About Langsett Reservoir is found in South Yorkshire, England. I took this photo at the weekend with my Canon PowerShot G5. It was a very sunny day, hence the shadows in the trees, but the sunlight helped to make a nice blue sky and really brought out the greens in the grasses.

Ah Langsett, I go past this spot every day, its a strange place with dark conifer woodlands and stone lined banks, but in a beautiful setting. You captured the essence of this very well, it really looks serene and calm. Love the diagonal bank and the water disappearing round the corner. Only comment would be about that triangle of green bottom left - just a touch distracting. I would have preferred either none at all or much more foreground, but good work all the same.

Now I wish the repair man would return my camera I'm getting withdrawl symptoms ;-)

Thank you to everyone for your comments.

To Keith: Langsett Reservoir is a great place, it almost looks like you're walking in the Rockies! ) I was going to crop out the triangle of grass in the bottom right, but I wanted people to see how wide the reservoir was at this point, so I decided against it - I was worried that the image would be unbalanced without this - maybe I should take out my wide-angle converter next time so I can get more of it in shot! ;-)

Thanks,

Stephen
