Beautiful sunset indeed and greately captured. Just a pitty that some rays that show up on the snow aren't so evident. They would have been in armony with the oranges of the sky.

Despite the snow, this image puts cheerfulness, maybe because it?s a beautiful sunset or because the colours are good or because the light of the sun is blinding. I like the disposition of lighthouse and of sun, at the sides of the photo, like symbols of perennial light, when there is one, the other rests. Bye Max

Glad to see you here Terry...this is a great composition ...and just because there is snow on the ground doesn't mean that you can't get a warm feeling from it...the composition is well framed and the colors beautiful, but cheers really go to the photographer who braved the weather to take ...excellent

Well, it was worth it, I can tell. These are the situations where I wish there was some flare, but not too much. I like the nice sunlight reflections on the white (snow?)and water. As far as balance, I'd be more inclined to suggest less foreground for more sky.

Beyond the technical aspects of this shot, which are quite perfect, (for example you've managed to stunningly capture the light and color of the sunset), the composition here is also equally perfect. An image of stunning beauty. Brava.

Nothing like Canadian winters, hey? The detail in the image is wonderful, and I love the fact that there's snow, water and a beautiful sunset all mixed into one. My only nit is that the lighthouse is on one side of frame and the sun is on the other extreme, with a whole lot of emptiness in the middle. Both sun and lighthouse could be more in the frame for esthetics. But, it was -42, and I think you did a wonderful job in the conditions!
