To T Glow and all enterprising photographers:
Anyone wishing to visit the Zoo in Rio de Janeiro, to capture a few nice shots of Brazilian animals is hereby warned that:
1 ? An excessive interpretation of our conservation laws has led the administration to stop exhibiting Brazilian wild game, except for a few old macaws and the present collection of animals can better be seen in any circus.
2 ? To better protect the visitors, the present administration has placed a double row of steel fences, spaced 1.50m apart, around all cages and habitats. The inner fence has a fine black mesh that makes it impossible to get a decent shot.
My alligator?s shot was made possible because the habitat was too large to have a top cover and a local high point let me shoot over the fences, using a telephoto lens.
