This is a photo of Dove Stone Reservoir, which is found near Saddleworth Moor, Oldham, England. I was trying to capture the the mountains surrounding the reservoir, together with the small hut for added interest. My first few shots had a badly overexposed sky - I need a ND filter soon! For this shot, I got the meter reading from a dark part of the sky on the horizon to get some details from it, though this made the scenery a bit darker of course. But it wasn't too bad as it was getting quite dull and cloudy and threatening to rain anyway, so I think I've captured the scene as it felt at the time.
