About We went for a walk down this nature trail, which used to be a railway track. Does this image work in Black and white? I have got a similar one in colour.

Where's Jenny?

I think this works fine in b/w, Sarah. The weakness of the photograph is too much junk in the foeground and no definitive subject matter.

I would have moved to the right and behind the bicyclists with the 28. This would have given you a much more powerful image and still included the interest feature of the boats in the background.

Hi Sarah!

I'm really happy you like my style.
I love this your new Pic, it seems to come from an old painting of the 19th century.
Did you take it with a black and white film, or did you work it later? I ask you, because I think, if it was a b/w, it has been much more better if you had used a red filter (I mean, for the contrast between sky and clouds. But maybe you had risked to create also a too deep contrast in the figure of the person.
Anyway, really a good work!
Thank you for your appreciament about the framing of "Schlachtensee, it was exactly what I wanted to obtain in this shot.

Ciao,
Katia.

Katia,
I did use a black and white film. I don't have any filters so could not do anything about the sky. I may get some filters if I decide to do more black and white.

Thanks for all comments.

Sarah
