This a lovely classic portrait of an age that everyone adores. The age of awareness yet the age of innocence as suggested by your title. You captured her eyes perfectly - they have a lovely smile in them that correspond very well with the smile on her lips. I love the rope - suggestive of a swing and the remains of her childhood. Good choice to have her hand up as it adds additional interest and information about her youth.
Good DOF letting the background drop out to light and shadows and airiness..

This is a photo that she will be thrilled with for years to come. I love the sparkle in her eyes and her natural smile. I'm sure her folks will want many prints, in all sizes. You can't take a bad photo of a child, they grow up so fast that the memories captured on paper are the best.
