A nice action shot Mark. I was curious about the technical details of the shot. Not having made any of these shots myself, I wonder how you executed the shot?

Thanks, Pete. It's a pretty straight-forward shot. The trickiest part was trying to get a decent pan through the relatively small hole in the fence provided for shooters (and that's pretty much a problem everywhere these days). 1/160 s was slow enough for some blur of the wheels, the car behind, and the background, and keeping the driver sharp is a goal. Shots like this don't always work, of course, but the nice thing is you don't have to show people the ones that don't. :) I have some other shots from a bit farther down the track that are more head-on. I'll post one soon.

an excellent action photo...good color and exposure...your timing is excellent ...the angle of the car looks as if he just turnned and spun a bit...good capture...only one suggestion...might try to rotate the image clockwise a bit... line up the horizontal bars on the fence with your horizon and rotate it...I think it would improve the composition
