I love the composition, but what I love most is the softness of the flowers "in back," especially the "halo" around the second flower.

Far as I know, I can't do this with my new camera 'in camera'...hmm..I like the double exposure, with the halo, and the softness as well. The third sunflower in the back...seems to be the one asking why SHE is always in front..like a row of kids with the one kid who just can't tow the line.

This is an interesting and exciting double exposure, John. Well executed, well cropped and, well, ...beautiful. Looks like you captured what you set out to capture. My only guff is the title. I know we're not always so serious on this site, especially me. But this fine image deserves a better first impression than "Why is SHE always in front". This is one of your strongest sunflower images, IMHO. OK, tell me to lighten up. But this is excellent work, man.

I've been studying these wonderful sunflower posts, and find it difficult to choose a favorite. Each one has something special. (In a way, it makes me feel despondent and unlucky since I have never been so fortunate as to see a field full of sunflowers. Oh...no...I mean it makes me feel cheerful! Cheerful! That is it.)
I love the sharp/blur control you had using the double exposure. It works very well, and makes this seem more like the sunflowers of my imagination.
You have quite a talent, John.

Ahh, another thing I am looking forward to trying.... this has such a nice dreamy effect, and the fact that it's done in camera makes it all the better! How do you like the Velvia 100F?
