About Simple composite of silverback gorilla with a multilayer background containing a combination of natural textures (light reflecting off water) and artificial textures generated by KPT Effects FlameFraxII filter. Back at home now with the Zen garden and high speed connection. Comments welcome. P.S. The dialog from "Casablanca" where "As Time Goes By" is mentioned goes like this: //
Ilsa: Play it once, Sam. For old time's sake. //
Sam: I don't know what you mean, Miss Ilsa. //
Ilsa: Play it, Sam. Play As Time Goes By. //

Seems like the gorila is crying and singing to a lost love, what a tragic moment! Well done, Jim!

Jim,

Somehow, this doesn't quite have the impact of some of your other images. I think what would yield a higher impact is if we had something for the gorilla's hands to be playing with or touching - a purpose for time going by...does that make sense?

Mary

PS Welcome back...

An image to sit and stare at for a while, and one that benefits from the scrunched-up-eyes view of the world. Technically excellent as ever!
Regards, Chris

I like it a lot Jim.
"To be or not to be, - that is the question:-
Whether ?tis nobler in the mind to suffer.
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles..."
Well this is almost Hamlet to me. As times goes by. And Ingrid Bergman, she smiled sweetly.
Great work!

This is really surreal and well done Jim. The "Return of King Kong" was what came to mind when I 1st saw it-- nice work!

Interesting vision. Makes me think of Planet of the Apes or 2001 - this ape is clearly spacey. What is in the raised hands...? Very effective -- and welcome back!

Whatever the future may bring, tomorrow can be everyone's birthday if we want to and a kiss will always be a kiss, as time goes by... For sure a great tribute that is ! And now I wonder... Does anyone know where time goes ?

All my childhood in this picture... As Time Goes By :-(
Thank you, Jim
