| About |
Scanned at 100dpi from a bordered 3-1/2 x 5 inch print with slight cropping, sharpening, color, and contrast adjustments. Note that this isn't a commercially available Minox film: I slit down 35mm film and loaded the Minox cassette myself in the darkroom. I came across this mushroom on a fall hike last year, someplace in the woods of Putnam County, NY. I added some red to the image file, as MPL obviously didn't have their settings quite right for this Kodak film (they mostly print Fuji and Agfa) - but it's still a little more blue than I'd like. Taking advantage of the Minox's close-focusing abilities, this is reasonably sharp for an estimated zone-focus, hand-held shot. (I actually think the slight softness - which wasn't helped by the pretty low-res scan - gives a nice effect in this particular case.)
