Andrew-
What I really admire about this shot(and with many of your photos)-is that they capture something very intricate about the leaves on each tree, the filter makes each tree stand out- instead of it becoming just a solid mass or shadow. What locations do you usually go to around the cities to get these shots?
Another great piece my friend.

thanks for the comments, Sarah, and all. to Sarah: there are lots of locations around the twin cities that afford a multitude of natural settings. my favorites include: theodore wirth park in minneapolis; national cemetery in bloomington; como park, st. paul; afton state park, just east of st. paul; kinnickinnic state park, east of afton in wisconsin; most of western wyoming; and southern utah. stearns county in central minnesota has myriad photographic opportunities, too, if one looks. peace.

Thanks for some locations...I live in the NW burb's-sometimes hard to go out at a moments notice and find something close to me-Thanks for some new ideas. One of my favorites is Munsinger gardens, across from SCSU...and I think I may head out to quarry park one of these days too..

Your neophyte hand is doing very well...seems like this path could be sharper but the toning and composition are wonderful to me!
