Agony thats unabating- is what comes to my mind. Interesting work.

Luis Vieira   {K:1772} 8/23/2003
I see Neptun waking up. Congratulations, whatever any of us see on this image, it is a amazing art work.

Felipe Rodríguez   {K:9200} 8/23/2003
Very well done! It's really scary. It reminds me of that movie, "The Haunted House" or something like that.

Ronny Van Eeckhoutte   {K:12734} 8/23/2003
Another good idea for abstract photography ...

Freddie Sandström   {K:1444} 8/23/2003
The watermaster strikes again. McNitt is in the blue spotlight and he's shown once more what a man with a creative mind can do. Really impressive work!! F*%&#ng unbelieveable almost. The face is very powerful and the watercolour/ripples is excellent.

Mighty good sir!

/Freddie

volker goerschen   {K:1634} 8/23/2003
eternal pain?
Interesting work!

Andre Fersen   {K:1679} 8/23/2003
The expression is deeply ambiguous, as you say. The eyes are interesting - they look sightless, partly opened but nothing visible. The shape of the face is strange - it seems to extend outwards as if flat, beyond the eyes, instead of cirving as it should. The shimmer is probably water but also looks like a web - and it's differeent on each side of the face. Overall, looks dream-like (the blue helps create that effect I think), something Jung might have in a book someplace. A bit classical too, as someone says - Neptune awakes.

Joksa Juoperi   {K:13473} 8/23/2003
Great work.
Nice texture and tone.
Regards, Joksa.

Naty Z   {K:16486} 8/23/2003

Carol Watson   {K:5185} 8/23/2003
I'm with Elizabeth... this scared the crap out of me too! To me, this looks like the ghost of one of Titanic's victims. This is stuff nightmares are made of -- hopefully not for me tonight. :-)

Anna    {K:2994} 8/23/2003
This is clearly the European in the pool during the long hot summer 2003... ;-)))
Well done as ever, Jim!

T L   {K:18928} 8/23/2003
I'm not gonna jump in that pool!!! For me this looks like a face in the moment of death... creepy. Excellent work though...

^j^ .   {K:8554} 8/23/2003
I see... Deep inside of me !
I see... Emotions... Don't try to hide !
I see... Amplification... Of a previous evidence !
I see... Tears... Loads of them... Flowing through these eyes !
I see... Hope in the end... Because I believe everything's not lost !

???

__EXCELLENT__________________________ FANTASTIC WORK !!!!!

Richard Blount   {K:9145} 8/23/2003
I see pain and torment, like the soul is reaching out, wonderful, creative work Jim, as always very nicely done - Richard.

P.S Congrats on 99%

Kristina Kohut   {K:49990} 8/24/2003
What I think? Hm... I'm not sure I can describe, but I try... :-) I feel that air has come to an end, there is no more air. He (or she) instinctivly tries to get it, without result, and lack of oxygene makes the eyes roll, while he (she) is disappearing into a nice and peaceful end, or a new fresh start. This was my first thought, but now I also start thinking of ghosts that are kind of melted into floors etc. This is superb artwork, but I'm not surprised, you are really great at this!

Stefan Engström   {K:24473} 8/24/2003
I see pain, but the water and the color blue contradicts that somehow. This face over glowing embers may leave you with a more uniform interpretation (not that that is necessarily what one would want). It also creates a desire to learn how to do this type of image blending!

Aykan OZENER   {K:5996} 8/24/2003
Fantastic work very nice

Lissa Hatcher   {K:3006} 8/24/2003
This is the man at the bottom of the pool that I was always afraid of as a child ....Your water affect is nothing short of amazing ....I love the idea and the execution demonstrated here ...
I vote terror ...Now that you say bordom I can see it but my first thought was Yikes ....
Thanks for all the comments on my work they were most helpful and I hope you will stick your head in evey once in a while. I could learn allot form you I am sure .

Mia Hargreave   {K:1037} 8/24/2003
Oooo Scary! Striking! Brilliant!

MIA:)

Mari Mar   {K:11417} 8/24/2003
The principal mark of genius is not perfection but originality, the opening of new frontiers.
--Arthur Koestler

Bravo, Jim!!!

Wendy Blount   {K:93} 8/24/2003
This pic made me curious,Jim. I see a lost soul screaming to find the end of eternity. Great work--Cheers, Wendy

Paolo Barthelemy   {K:25552} 8/25/2003
I can see the cry of an earlier powerful king that has lost his kingdom; like Neptune that looks at his see spoiled by pollution.
Beyond that, the impact is very strong and the composition is great!
My copmliments!

Regards, Y.D.

ADAM ORZECHOWSKI   {K:7957} 8/25/2003

Jim, This is hella cool! Nightmare material! So very well percieved and exicuted!

Patricia Eifel   {K:5097} 8/27/2003
Neptune rising from the deeps, railing in frustration against man's destruction of his world..?....hmmm...I must have missed this one while I was in Dallas this weekend. A great construct Jim and one of your most successful aqua-mergers, I think.
...Pied du Cochon...I know it well. Still a great place to stop for a yummy choucroute. In fact, plan to do just that in about two weeks... We must be very much of the same age. I remember my first onion soup at the old Les Halles during my sophomore year in '70. A flirtatious parisien at the next table bought a bottle of wine for my girlfriend and I and we sipped it well into the wee hours...it was a special place and still is, changes and all.

Todd Broadbent   {K:2204} 8/28/2003
Agony, sweet and blue
Tears from sockets without eyes
Stars and sun gathered and deflected by the hue
Say you won't go there
I still see you

Gasping for air where there's none
Crying in my sleep
There's only one

abstract thoughts while observing your art...

Neil Shapiro   {K:2122} 9/2/2003
Wow, that's FANTASTIC. Very ingeniously done. This is one of my favorite images--of all time! As to your question, at first I saw agony, but the more I look, the expression on the face looks like a yawn. The water yawning on a tired, summer day.

Carla Pires   {K:10713} 9/2/2003
Excellent composition. Great effect. Terrific shot... Congrats! :)

Naty Z   {K:16486} 9/2/2003
