A very beautiful shot, wonderful lighting, really shows off the shoes. In a word: Professional.

Where did you come up for the idea? Are those your shoes? Just kidding. Awesome picture!

Peat Bakke   {K:250} 5/31/2001
Rebecca: I'm not sure how I came up with the idea -- I was futzing about in my bedroom, and had an uncontrolable urge to take a picture of my shoes. The first few shots were really boring, normal shoe pictures ... I took this one after deciding that "boring" and "normal" isn't much fun to shoot. :)

Nanette: The dullness is from my inattention -- in fact, I hadn't really thought about it until you pointed it out. I suspect it's because the light wasn't positioned correctly; the dullness is probably the combination of a reflection from a dimmer source in the room (like bounce from the sheet or my white ceiling), and the curvature of the shoe.

.. and I only wore the shoes to one event a couple years ago, when I was convincing a bunch of rich folks to help fund a company I was starting. Hmm. Perhaps I should wear them more often!

I also find this shot sumptuous. Must be the angle and I think the color is so rich and shiny. Nice work.

wow, I like this a lot...

Cool beans, I dig this. I would* buy these shoes, hehe. Don't really see the supposed dullness on the left shoe, dunno. Good choice of dof and pof, other than the laces being all over the place, superb.

I've GOT to start using some Provia! This is wonderful in it's simplicity! bravo!
