About Scouting out a location and Deb let me use her as my test subject. It was very warm and she held up fine even with a headache.

What a pretty lady. The lighting on her is just great. Wonderful skin tones. The background is a problem that maybe you could over come with a little work in PS. I would also crop the top to just a little above her head, that would elimanate some of the hot background. Great pose..... Don.

Played around with this. Not a very good job but something for you to think about on pictures like this with bad backgrounds.

Very interesting Don. The clouds give it a whole different feel. I'll admit the time of day wasn't the best but that's when it had to be done. I do have more options around that fountain and will have to explore them a bit more. The fill flash just wasn't enough to balance with the bright daylight since my flash will only synch at 125th sec or less. Need a bigger flash I guess. The relfections on the water were nice when not over-exposed. I suppose the ideal fix would be to take a second exposure metered for the light area and merge the two.

OK, I give up - what caused the black outline on the right sides of her legs? :-)
It looks like flash shadow, but it's not apparent anywhere else, like behind her...

Yes, it was fill-in flash. Need a ring flash to make this work better. Soon.
