Taken in Seattle's Paradox Theater (all-ages, now defunct) just weeks before Operation: Free Iraq commenced (note the "No War" message magic-markered on right hand).
The "SU" in the upper right hand corner are the subject's initials (Sarah Utter of Bangs). While making the print, I exposed the photo paper to only one-third of the total exposure time, then I placed the letters directly onto the photo paper for the remainder of the exposure time, in order to subdue the brightness of the initials, and so the background could still be visible in that portion of the photo. In this sense, this photo is part photogram.
