Coolamundo, Andrew. It's fern night here on usefilm, I just commented on another great fern foto from Leslie Cohelan. I love the color green, love the patterns that ferns naturally produce. You have a good eye.

Very nice indeed. Gives nice detail and maze for the eyes to wander through.

Andrew, are we taking a break from IR? This is lovely, the patterns are very soothing to follow with my eye. Great work, Rhonda

Nice! These are so darned hard to do well, but you've succeeded. The patterns are really nice . . .

Thanks for the constructive comments all. Marcel, I had my D1H set on ISO 1600 to get a little DOF, and because I didn't have a tripod with me. Thanks again. Peace.

Andrew-
I love texture shots like this. This is a very crisp image, and I love the green hue.
I re-did my fern pic in sepia, per your suggestion. I also recropped the image.
Let me know what you think.

Thanks for your supporting comments too-
much appreciated.

Sarah

Nice fern patterns! Great clarity and truth in the color. This would make a great overlay pattern or a background for a composite or other goofing around in Photoshop...

Andrew, thanks for your nice comments on my picture of the katydid. Thanks for telling me the name. We just couldn't come up with that name at the time.
This is a beautiful picture of the fern leaves. It would make a great background for some flower picture. Great exposure and detail. We have some of these ferns growing around the house but they are all done for this year. Thanks. Don.

The natural patterns in this shot are awesome.
