Good work with the long exposure,Wayne, and nice idea you had about using flash to light the car.But I think that a 20min exposure should have rendered shorter star trails - I'm not sure about this, though, because I usually expose the night sky for more than 2 hours. what happened to the left part of your photo? the stars seem to disappear before reaching the end of the frame. regards,Kostas

Hi Kostas, the TOTAL exposure time was around 20 minutes (read my "about" for this photo). The length of star trails is also affected by the focal length of the lens. Perhaps you're more accustomed to viewing/taking night shots photographed with a shorter focal length lens setting? As to why the stars seem to disappear before they reach the end of the frame - besides my composition, I can't really explain why as I do not control the stars nor the rotation of the Earth, that's just how the film recorded the scene, my friend. Thank you for your interesting comments. Regards, Wayne.

Never will comes peace here,Wayne. Too much money.Too much power.Too much intereses.Too much hate.Too much weapons. ...and zero will. The permanent war status quo,is very rentable business for too much people.
