About I really got hung up on skies when I was in Scotland. This one changed every 30 seconds because there was a storm coming in.

A very nice shot David. Did you use a Filter? Around what time of the day did you make it?

No filters were used in this shot. Done around 8:30 in the evening near the end of May.

Wonderful rays of light! I really like the full range of tones and the blue sky. The composition works; well-grounded and well-framed. I am not crazy about the bush in the middle though. It is not visually intresting enough to make a good silhouette and it merged with the distant shoreline. A silhouette of a person, placed at the lower right, could add a sense of scale and gradeur, and better balance the composition.

Thanks for the comments. I would have loved to have gotten rid of that bush as well but I was standing on a rocky outcropping and was limited to where I could go and still maintain some compositional integrity. I would have loved to have a cherry picker and gotten some elevation on the scene. If any one is wondering this was shot from Java Point in Craignure on the Isle of Mull
