nice composition Chris......but the lighting is not working here...the light ray is illuminating the wrong part.....better if it hit the front cliff or rock rather than the base but......good concept and attempt...

Looks a tad bit tilted and I would crop the bottom foreground to just at top of the edge of the dark area. It seems to bring out that lighted area as if there were some sort of bright light coming from the sky shining down. Like an UFO maybe:)? Other than that it does have a very mysterious mood to it/
