A very well done portrait here Zosia! I really like the tones and the sharpness of the childs eyes. Your use of lighting here is fantastic as the subtle darkness of everything but the subjects really adds to this one. Great work here. One of my favorites!

your photos are so full of life, it is a great pleasure to "feel" them !!! It is if you are in long forgotten times, when people where people and life was real, in fact it is hard to imagine that your photos are made now in 21th century instead of 100 years ago. Where do you find those people ? Or are they everywhere but i don't see them ??

The lighting is very effective here in giving moulding to the features of the subjects here. I suspect it is lit by daylight or is it cleverrly managed artificial light. No matter it does the subject proud. You've done good work in the darkroom as well and I am pleased to see that you have let the image speak for itself without resorting to too much burning and dodging as in some of your earlier pictures. The tones are excellent as they always are in your work and the subjects are very appealing.I have slight doubts about the framing - I think the composition would be more balanced if there was more space between the lady and the edge of the frame and less space between the child and the left of the frame.But that is only my opinion.
