I love Magritte and it is who I thought of before I even saw your comment. Fantastic image and series. Course Catalog excerpt #2: PHYS-380: Relativistic Temporal Distortion. Classes begin yesterday, and run through last September.

I like this very much Jim, it does convey a feeling of time very well, I like the surreal look to it and the seperate elements fit together nicely, best regards - Richard.

Anna    {K:2994} 9/23/2003
One can feel and almost touch the time here...
and thinking of Magritte and Gossens: they will never die! So... time is so relative...

Alberto Agnoletti   {K:12808} 9/23/2003
Another great work!!!!
Best regards,
Alberto

Jim; the symbolism is great, but photographically what I really like are the clouds meeting the green in the nicely created depth and distance. The big shadow is cool as is the "flight of time"-- nicely done. The clock face looks like it has a "man running"-- cool!

Kristina Kohut   {K:49990} 9/23/2003
Very creative, also very interesting and clever! Excellent result!

...The old folks never die
They just put down their heads and go to sleep one day
They hold each other's hand like children in the dark
But one will get lost anyway
And the other will remain just sitting in that room
Which makes no sound
It doesn't matter now, the song has died away
And echoes all around
You'll see them when they walk through the sun-filled park
Where children run and play
It hurts too much to smile, it hurts too much but life goes on
For still another day
As they try to escape the old silver clock
When day is through
It tick-tocks oh so slow, it says, "Yes," it says, "No"
It says, "I'll wait for you."
The old, old silver clock that's hanging on the wall
That waits for us
All

Jacques Brel - The old folks song.

Wonderful composition. Bravo, Jim!!

Well... This seems so naturally and obviously surrealistic that I'm starting to wonder wether there could be some hidden sense in there or not... But isn't it always like that when words flow and images swim congruently... So easily... Too easily... Then, on the what-doesit-look-like side, it's certainly no wonder why your 'graphic works' can steadily be associated with that movement and I hope you will receive as much of notoriety as they have back in those days - Was it in the 30's... I'll have to check that... However, yet remains a few things I'd like to say but my thoughts are kinda lighter-than-air just right now...
