is that some kind of myth just sitting there in the middle of someone's farm? what a great metaphor for imagination intruding on reality.

I'm trying to guess but this looks more like Tuscany than Australia. Nice work with the G5. In a detailed scene like this you could expect some chromatic noise but even zooming in a few times it looks very clean. Don't know what post-processing you do. I like the painterly effect of the orange and browns in the foreground fields. Nice rich tones to balance with the brighter sky and more delicate light of the middle ground. Lots of different effects here to engage the eye - much like the care taken by painters to construct an interesting scene. Great result.
The tiniest niggle I have is to PS out the plants in the bottom left corner. Sometimes it's the little imperfections that just make an image, but here there's just not enough of them to have a positive effect.

- just read your comment, Italy.

Wonderful romantic landscape Zelda, right down to the flock of sheep grazing in the right place in the foreground. The only things that concern me are the over-saturated colours in the foreground and the amount of noise. Have you tried Neatimage. It's free to download and use. I use a Canon G3 and it make a lot of difference, especially when using 100, 200 & 400 ISO. Regards John

A truly awe inspiring landscape, it has my eyes wandering around at all the luscious details. I'm pretty sure that hill is man made too. And how dare you move to Italy and abandon us down here!!!

Gerhard Fuehring   {K:4280} 10/25/2003
good composition - the hill is just where it should be.
