About This is the same flower fly that you can see on my last shot, but here it\'s in action!

Ps. These flower flies are not dangerous and they don\'t sting. They look similar to wasps and bees, but they are smaller and they kind of shake in the air.

Great, it is the middle of the action. It is very difficult to make that kind of action shot. I like it :-).

Perfect timing in this! The flower is overexposed, but imo this contrast gives a special effect to it. Great capture!!!

I see, thank you for the explanation about this little fly (I thought you were become braveheart!!!). But little or not, this is another fantastic shot, I like the pose ;) of the fly and the way it's studying the flower for a perfect landing. Great colors and lights and DOF too! Bye Max

Excellent shot! You stopped the time? Unbelievable, because I know that catch a moving object with digital camera is impossible in 99%, due to it's time lag.

Great shot Kristina.
I'd like to tell something about "Swan" picture. At first, thank you for the comment.
He wasn't alone. He is alone only in that picture.Around him was a looooot of swans.
First time I saw so much swans in one place.People from that village gave them food and every year in the same time they are coming there and stay for a while.
That's the story.:)
Greetings!

Very nice capture.

Graham Mulrooney   {K:16868} 1/5/2004
Beautiful colours Kriss in this action shot by the Hoverfly but I think the really sharp focus on the flower with the defocused background makes the shot. Great composition and I think your narrow borders are perfect. Many shots to me seem to be spoiled by heavy borders in garish colours.
By the way these Hoverflies are very benifical as they and their offspring live on garden pests.

Sonia ~   {K:2125} 1/22/2004
Very well captured!!

edmond lisy   {K:10311} 3/3/2004
