This is a nice shot, great colors, DOF, etc., but I can't help thinking the composition should have been a "portrait" shot, rather than a "landscape" shot. That trunk in the middle isn't interesting enough to deserve the viewer's total interest, but that's what the composition asks it to do. If you were doing it again, I'd suggest flipping the camera, and getting a little further back from the central tree?

i have a friend in Colorado who keeps raving about the aspens, so now i get to see them up close and personal, wow, the color against the sky is electric..i can feel the cool, dry crispness in the air here, nothing like what we have in Costa Rica..if i was in Colorado, i think i?d shoot aspens till my fingers fell off! thanks! kat-
