I love it!!!!

Andrew Lopez-Calvete   {K:2441} 10/2/2003
I so have to dig out my old diana, or buy a Holga! Gotta love that natural vignetting. I really genuinely like this, even though it was shot with the photographic equivalent of a skoda tractor (probably made in the same factory comrade!!). Very atmospheric..now stop messing around, get your proper camer out and take some real photos ;-)

Fernando Ladeira   {K:849} 10/2/2003
gREat!

Kirk Teetzel   {K:427} 10/2/2003
Just my preference, but this is exactly why I love the Diana more than the Holga. The Holgas are too sharp whereas the Diana gives that weird dreamy feel.

Good work. Now I'll have to dig mine out as well.

Mário Sousa   {K:16985} 10/2/2003
excelente photo street

Haleh B   {K:3741} 10/2/2003

...a great Diana shot!

Wesley Pettus   {K:212} 10/3/2003
Those toy cameras really add a certain feel to photos. You've done a good job of showing the dreary, trudge to work.

Betsy Hern   {K:12872} 10/3/2003
Exactlly! Dreary trudge to work -- and what better camera to use than a Diana. In my Favorites. Can't beat the Diana for atmosphere, mood, mystery, grit, tension... This is such a story photo, you can make up a tale to go along with it very easily -- is this someone I know, someone I've seen shuffle down this same street every day, where did he get that jacket, where is he really going, does he have a family, is he sad, is he merely preoccupied thinking about something, is this morning or evening and on and on. Oh, classic hat, too. Love it!

Betsy Hern   {K:12872} 10/3/2003
Awesome website, by the way. It loads so quickly. You are very talented!

Mike Marcotte   {K:3948} 10/3/2003
Excellent image of the businessmen. Looks like it could be after work, the slumped shoulders & head downward. The other man has his coat open, & also looking a little downcast. This captures the mood. A good image of the big city businessman.

Terry McCully   {K:9221} 10/3/2003
WOW... Emil is right... the Diana is the king of mood... this shot is FANTASTIC... like an old classic ... the Diana sure knows...lol.... This shot is great... going right ito my fav's... BRAVO to this shot... hopefully it will become an editor pick... 7/7 for sure ! ! !

Khawla Bin Thani   {K:3455} 10/3/2003

great.

Rafael Torcida   {K:1926} 10/4/2003
Great shot. Old low quality cameras are capable of the best results. Full of character and personality.... full of feelings and with that artsy mood. I love blurring!!!, I love imperfection!!!.

Syrie Kovitz   {K:1349} 10/4/2003
This is wonderful!

tamir bar yehuda   {K:324} 10/5/2003

JP Zorn   {K:533} 11/3/2003
Lovely shot and mood.

Mike Jones   {K:696} 11/4/2003
The drudgery of going to work - coupled with that old-time b&w movie feel. Very dramatic. Now you're going to make me lookup what a Diana camera is (figures it'd have it's own website).

Ayse Telci   {K:4168} 12/1/2003
greaat point of vieww...

Anne Knes   {K:60303} 1/6/2004

Rodulf Gomez   {K:1243} 3/11/2005
Wow unbelievable image created from a toy camera. I get a very dark and moody feeling visually. I like this shot a lot.

Vladimir Azarian   {K:258} 3/16/2005
Bravo, you caught very good moment: a lot of problems before the retired person (i suppose) and hopeless future. No sun, no light ahead.

dwight Marshall   {K:336} 3/24/2005
I only took the two photos posted here in my portfolio.. they hang together in a frame.. with space between them... I worked at a Photo Store called The Photo Exchange on 5th ave and 20th street in Nyc. It's been gone a long time.. but it was a great place for shooting.. I took loads of photos back then.. this was 1990 and I just moved to Nyc..

Dorota Wroblewska   {K:340} 7/28/2005
