Ken, thanks for playing with the photo. Yes I do like your edit, but then you lose so much mid detail. Probably somewhere between the two.
Joe- No Canon bashing. I owned at least five Nikon digitals before I moved on to Canon. They both have their forte's, but in the end i did switch to Canon. I wouldnt mind having both. Right now I have two Canon digitals. Thanks for your comments.

This one is a wall hanger. Two things that draw my attention: The obvious, the beautiful light filtering through the forest and second the winding road that takes the viewer from the foreground thru the forest and into the source of the light. Superb compositional image!!!
