It is a dramatic shot, full view of the wonderful wet nose, ears, shiny coat and eyes (although a little light in them would have been tremendous). Quite effective.

Thank you for your generous comments on my portfolio. Like you, I don't exactly know why I chose this photo. Perhaphaps because I had a dog once. She (I can't bring myself to call her a bitch) died a tragic death. She welcomed a patient by a special dance she had, slid under the banister and fell down 3 stories to the concret fall to her death. One day I will upload her photo. Right now I don't know where it is.

What a good portrait, Megan. I like the background work you did do, it brings Opus more into focus as the subject here. What sad, lovely eyes. Lighting is superb! Did you add a tinge of blue?
