Hi, Carole! I think, they are not right about lighting, if somebody tried to shoot fresia, he/she knows how unusually vivid colours appear on photo, they become smooth and "eat" the details! Maybe, It's happened, because some colours pigment in fresia blossoms are fluorescent. Maybe, don't know! Any successful result I got, when had shot it in a little darkness! You had found other way, excellent image! Beautiful composition! Next flower composition as addition of Your wonderful collection! My best wishes! Have a nice Sunday, Carole! Alexey. P.S.Nice flower colour in frame makes pictures much wide, if you change it to contrast colour, subject and frame become more defined, and subject looks more concentrated, it's not offer- it's only my observation.
