Very peaceful shot in such a high-paced city. Congrats on the colours.

Amazing that with that camera, you could get such perfect exposure and contrast...not to mention color and comp. Go with this more, let your adjustment to this new field be about discovering the things you already know; just learn them in a different way.

It works because it moves - it brings us in somewhere - I am not sure how but I move into the photo and the place is different than where the photo originated...at least that is how I feel - it seems deeper than the superficial - that glimpse in passing that when you blink is gone...

the difference to a photo done with an usual lens is: it makes me viewing longer. it seems that there is more space behind the ship, that the clouds can expand better and so on ...

Hi John, what a suprise, you are working recently with a pinhole. Slowness makes this image wonderful and deep in every way. M

Hi John I was looking at your pinhole photo this morning. It is one of those that gives you a "stomach feeling." To me it is a very emotive and strong image that draws me in. Wonderful.

John, nice capture! I like the faded-out colours and the somehow "dirty" look. Very interesting work that you do with your pinhole camera!
