About As the shutter was open, I painted on the light with a flashlight that had a red gel over the front. The red is truly this saturated on the slide (that's why I use Velvia when I shoot color). There is no extra saturation done on the computer.
The building is an abandoned mine in Victor, Colorado.
Thanks for taking the time to view this image.

Very interesting high-impact photo. My only other comment. I wish the "painting" with red light had reached the peak of the roof

This is so darn great. I can't begin to imagine how you got this shot so perfect.....plenty of bracketing perchance? Anyway, the red light is perfect, it's as if the gates of hell ahave opened at the bottom of the mine.....a definite sinister feeling going on.....I like it.

Awesome! The cool thing is you actualy did it on slide, it wasn't something done on photoshop, the red makes it really stand out, and I love the stars, you can tell it was a looong exposure :)
