I think you have a very successful photo here, not boring at all. For me the perspective makes this image compelling. I love the converging rays of the passing sky. I also like the contrasting subject matter - inanimate trees vs. the animated sky. I think your framing is actually pretty solid - very nice balance to my eye. I find the lens flare a tad distracting, I would remove it - just me though. Nice work.

Becky Love the movement in the sky in this one... very mysterious with great detail. I think that the flare is distracting as well.. but I love the way that the trees are creeping in from both sides of the image. I tried a crop to remove the flare, but then you lose the tree on the right which balances the one creeping on the left. And, no, I don't think its boring either! *grin*

Very dramatic picture here. I think the way you framed it has worked out very well ... adds to the dramatic mood of the picture. Yep the flare is just a little bit distracting. Boring??? Definitely not.

Flare removed!
Thanks everybody! I'm my own worst critic sometimes (um, all of the time). That's why Usefilm is so great - I can get some objective opinions and know that sometimes the photo really isn't all that bad (or, conversely, if it is! That's good to know too!) ;)

Wow, what an unusual image. I don't recall ever seeing anything quite like that. Great job! Now I really want to try some more night shots...
