good bye!   {K:-694} 11/3/2003
you might have taken it with a longer exposure set.. so it would've looked more blurry and dynamic .. the white sheets behind her would not kinda "compete" with her to be a main subject in a picture .. yes, I think they kinda compete rather than create a balanced subject together. keep going, I like it. D.

thank you for the great comments. Dominik, I wanted a sharp picture, so the light and shadowy parts of the fabric would be more defined. I have others from this shoot that are more blurry in my gallery.
The title just relates to my girlfriend (the person on this photo) Her name is charlotte, and in my dictionary Harlot means several things, especially one not so flattering. Here its supposed to be in the freedom-loving meaning of the word. Someone with no fixed occupation, someone just flying across the desert with no goal in particular.
I'm glad you like this photo! thanks again.

Hi Lars,

Absolutely wonderful.....the lines, forms, sense of movement, all terrific. And of course the dramatic high-contrast b&w look.

Excellent photo.

Best wishes,

David

This is one shot I am going to have to come back to often, the lighting and everything is just superb. Maybe your girlfriend with a long white dress could add another aspect too...but it's great the way it is.
Mark
