About Another version of this house on the mountains (the first is at http://www.usefilm.com/image/202875.html).
I like the composition a lot but I still have not found the right tone adjustments to make it stunning...
Any comment and advice is welcome.

Hi Paolo,

It's pretty darn close to stunning as it is! You might try bumping up the contrast just a touch, and then selectively burn the highlights a little.

But the composition is beautiful, and the setting is striking.

Excellent work.

Best wishes,

David

beautiful composition and mood.

I like both photos a lot. I think a compromise between the two would be perfect. The sky in the first one is great, imo, while the house looks better here.

Natalie Papadopoulos   {K:5247} 11/6/2003
i think this is stunning. i love the lighting and the contrast is wonderful. i would only like to see the small bit of blue a little brighter..

Graham Mulrooney   {K:16868} 11/6/2003
An excellent image with great composition.
I think the sky and mountains on the right look a bit burnt. I think the mountains could be a little more prominent without taking from the cabin. The very small patch of blue sky looks a little odd to me with such thick clouds.

Paolo, to me are both photo wonderful, each of them having the beauty for themself and this is maybe more galant, cos the tones are very pleasant, any way, you made another great image and it is stunning, congrats, regards!

great shot!! i added a little bit of green and red highlights, midtones, and shadows, and took away some blue tones. then i put lightness down a bit, upped saturation a bit, upped contrast a bit, and then burned in the midtones for the sky and door. does this help a little?

ottima in tutto!
ciao roby
