About Went to the beach during an extremely low tide and so these pieces of kelp in the sand. I loved the patterns that were left from the water.

Intriguing shot. I like the textures, well done!

Petros Stamatakos   {K:12101} 11/8/2003
Beautiful triptych! Excellent tectures! You've dodged and burned well, and subsequently you've produced an elegant image. Very well done Steve :-)

Eric Goldwasser   {K:4294} 11/8/2003
Congrats on this EC Steve. Welcome to the world of the digitographer as well! There's only so many times I can say "great!" so I'll just be generic. This is Great! :-)

I find the presentation of these pictures are really beautiful..

Bill Akata   {K:2926} 11/12/2003
He's BAAAAACK! Simply superb Steve.

Keith Naylor   {K:13064} 11/13/2003
Congrats on the EC Steve, very much deserved. Theres just one tiny little thing I'd change, and thats the left hand frame... that little pebble in the upper right. I'd like to see that removed in order to balance the three elements.

But good work really.

Regards

Keith

Nice contrasty shot. I agree about the pebble. Also the left piece of sea weed seems to have a little less sharpness/contrast as the others.

Miluxa Patricio   {K:6060} 11/13/2003
I love them, too!
Very simple, very beautifull!

suppose its was possible to capture what the flow of thoughts from synapse to synapse on film, this is what it would look like, there's a sort of mood im noticing that recurrs from image to image of yours, melancholic maybe wise, but either way it feels the way light does before it dies on the film, so to speak, and i drool after it

drool...

Nice work Steve. Hope you're having fun with your new toy! Lets see some more. (Terrence said it all)

caiado .   {K:168} 1/15/2004
The idea to include 3 images does not explore the individual performance. In fact, it nearly make them look less inpiraty. Anyway, good printing and balance in middle tones. Caiado.

fantastic composition!!!
great work!!!

Caiado,

I have no idea what you're trying to say. Thanks for your opinion, you are entitled to it.

Fabio Keiner   {K:49368} 2/10/2004

a fossil in the making which will serve perfectly as fine art

katka prackova   {K:99} 2/10/2004

Jaimee Bond   {K:1437} 2/10/2004
Great detail. Very creative eye. The b&w looks great, as well as the tryptych layout. Congrats on the EC award. Great job!

Jill Hatzai   {K:1854} 2/10/2004
your contrast sets the mood, the middle tones are smooth and even, the texture is natural. i love tryptychs, especially science and nature. you have made art of something most don't even give a second glance.

Megan McCluskey   {K:3735} 2/10/2004
Excellent presentation. Becomes a piece of art like this. I like the tones too...perfect.

It's the first time I've heard of kelp appearing as a "tryptych". :) I like the gentle study of these found pieces. The little pebble in the first pic makes me want to scratch my nose if you know what I mean, though that probably makes less sense than Caiado...

donald  Macklin   {K:3} 5/8/2004
Very perceptive.16x20 framed prints would look spectacular in the tryptich format.Well done.
