Chris. I think this is a very creative photo. Did you use a tripod, and is that a B&W film or did you convert from colour? I do macro stuff too, and never even thought about the keyboard (which I am always using). I guess that's what makes a good photographer, seeing the potential and going for it.Is that the kit (28-80) you used for this macro shot? I only hear reports about how it isn't really sharp and everybody just cans it....maybe they should see this photo of yours!

Hi Andrew...the lens is a Sigma 28-80 that has a macro capability...not really a true macro 1:1 but it allows you to get very close....it runs about 80 dollars.

I used a 150 watt halogen spot light shining down on the keyboard so this was shot at about 1/60th or above on the shutter at f5.6.

This is an 8x10 print scanned at 75 dpi. It was hand developed at the college darkroom. The dark room is fun but it takes alot of time to do each print.

The film is Kodak Tri-Xx 400 speed pro which is a black and white print film. Thanks for commenting Andrew..hope the info helped!

I like the softening effect the grain adds to this photo.

Thank you Debi.
