About "Newton's Muse" reworked -- less armor, more color and full length. Next step will be to composite her with the solar apples and some other objects in the final background. Comments and suggestions appreciated...

I have enjoyed your latest postings Jim.
The colours are always something extra in your work.
This one really gets my attention. It stays in my mind.

Jim, I really like your vision. It is a complicated piece but then again I believe complication defines art.

Jim marvelous works, I think I preffere the original breast, gives a bit of so surrealism. Great image my friend!

Rhonda Prince   {K:17684} 11/14/2003
This is coming along nicely! I like the integration between the background and the muse better. I love her eyes, they are perfect! Is she going to be holding a spear/clock hand in the final version?

I think the muse is brilliant. It seems to me that the figure hiding in the background is trying to emerge out of the jumble (-d thoughts) and that works really well for me. The spear is the least convincing element to me, I think a continuation of the watchmaker theme would have been nice, but it also sits right across that emergent thought, blocking its way rather than helping it to appear. Maybe I'm reading too much into the background :-) I would have prefered not to have total symmetry in the background.

much more inspiring than a traditional muse....brilliant-ready to poke that spear up anybody,s arse if they are not behaving. love it.
