Paul, I'm so glad you left a comment about my Shinjuku (Tokyo) panorama because it encouraged me to explore your own portfolio. I find your photographic style very sympathetic, especially your sense of perspective and your ability to make a real "picture" of what you see. It is most refreshing, and I want to be able to view your new postings so I'm putting you into my friends list. I expect you could use an even wider lens than the 24mm end of your zoom, especially as I believe the digital image is not quite as large as the standard 135 format, right? I like a 21mm for its strong perpsective.
PS I also try to manage without a tripod, easier perhaps for me as I mostly shoot rangefinders. Sometimes tripods are a necessary evil, but I hate them! This shot worked beautifully... I suppose those are two flagpoles on the left... Most effective composition.
