Karen:

What every little boy wants! A Dad to play with.
This is precious, and timeless. Great color, and
such emotion. Very nicely done.

Best regards
David

lovely capture!

Don Loseke   {K:32500} 11/24/2003
Very nice pose and lighting. Again a little backlight coming in from the right would sure help. I have darkened the lower portion of the picture with a vignette. Hope you don't mind . Don.

Aaaah... gorgeous!! Did you take this the same time as your family/baby-photo I just commented? I think the quality on this is better... it's more focused, and the shadows are not so strong. Also these face expressions are priceless! That little boy is gorgeous!! What did you say to get that happy face from him? :-))

Thanks to all who took the time to comment on this picture.

Kristina, this was taken at the same sitting and I agree - this was my favorite of the day. It is so hard to work with a baby and 4 year old, especially when you are just learning with lighting. I feel pretty good when lighting one person, but when I add more people, I have a problem knowing where to set my lights. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Don - I really like the dark vignette. It does improve the picture. I am not sure why the backdrop turned out so dark. Usually, at this setting - my lights also hit the backdrop too. I appreciate your opinion. Constructive advice is always desired and appreciated. And any advice on lighting is definitely needed.

Hi Karen, I think this portrait is just fine, maybe I would crop it a little tighter, but is just me! regards, Ricardo
