About Japan is a densely populated country, and its bicycle parks are always full! And there are as many parked OUTSIDE the parks as inside, despite the "tow away" laws.

Reminiscent of India. Would have been fantastic in color too, I'm sure.

I clicked on this thumbnail because it looked such a tangle I wanted to see if your imposed any sort of order on it. I find that the basket in the extreme foreground anchors it nicely and the trees give a sense of space so that the tangle doesn't completely baffle the eye.

Amitava, this is one of the rare occasions when I had B&W film in the camera! Usually I have colour and convert to B&W...

Mary, your eagle eye spotted exactly what I was attempting to do. It wasn't wholly successful, and I had to do a bit of dodging to get the basked sufficiently prominent, but I intend to try again. This is really an interesting (to me!) and challenging subject.

A pleasure to watch it, just the right issue for the 21mm and XP, very nice street shot.
The basket in the foreground does IT !
