Hi Jani, I like the effect of color against a desaturated background. I disagree a bit with the other commentors in that I feel the lighting is a bit harsh and blown out on top of the rose.
I enjoyed looking through your portfolio - lots of nice shots - you have a very nice eye and imagination!

The kind of photo I like. Brightly lit and joyful. But, I have noticed that some friends are deliberately darkening their flowers, with quite good results and tomorrow will post one of mine that had its brightness reduced 4 levels.

The beautiful yellow rose really stands out against the sepia background and the focus and DOF is good. I think though that the lighting could be better. Too much shadow one side and to bright on the other.
