About (Zeuzera pyrina, Cossidae): distributed throughout the Europe, common, associated with woodland, gardens and orchards. The adults fly during June and July and the larvae feed on the wood of a variety of deciduous trees. Though nocturnal in habits, these moths can sometimes be found resting conspicuously in the daytime, like this one.

pleasant work!

Nicely caught, but I feel that a little less depth of field would have allowed the background to have been thrown a bit more out of focus and therefore be less distracting to the eye. The insect is superbly shary though.
