Debbie, I like the composition and the colors, it's just way soft. Try to rescan and reload. Looks like a real good one!

The shutter speed is probably a bit slow as the image is considerably blurred. Exposing for the silhouette is fine, but it would probably be a good idea to try to hold the highlights. Velvia is also really, really contrasty so it might benefit you to shoot Provia for hand-held shooting.

Very good composition. But if U use zoom lens then use higher shutter speed.
